First dates are uncomfortable, nerve-wracking, and filled with uncertainty. But you know what? These experiences play a crucial role in shaping our character. Think of it as an adventure where we navigate through a maze of initial impressions, awkward moments, and shared laughter. 

First dates teach us valuable lessons about communication and empathy. We learn to express ourselves clearly and listen attentively to our date's thoughts and feelings. We develop an ability to engage in meaningful conversation, contributing to our overall social competence. 

Sure, first dates are filled with uncertainties but these are the moments that help us cultivate adaptability and patience. From spilled drinks to awkward silences, we learn to handle (almost) everything with grace. Each date, whether smooth or bumpy, adds a layer to our character development, be it good or bad.

Suddenly I was making him look less manly, somehow, with my preference on steak. He changes his order to match mine and then all night about how well done is better.     But I didn't appreciate that she literally craned her neck every time the kitchen door swung open to see if he was walking out. Eventually I gave her enough cash to pay for my part of the meal, told her I'd noticed (as though I couldn't have), suggested to her that she could get his contact info when she paid the bill, and left.
